Biarritz harbour front is lined with these captivating crampottes (fishermen's cottages) which are impossible to buy...they must be inherited...and the owners obviously take so much pride in their crampottes.

The cliffs around Biarritz are constantly crumbling. The last part of this downfall was happening as we arrived! Wouldn't like to be living in the next house back!!
