The Beautiful canals of Brugge, Belgium

Brugge has gotta be Europe's best kept least for Australians (I think the rest of Europe is well aware!!). Had it not been for my grandfather being educated here it would never have been on the itinerary. And I'm so grateful to my great-grandparents for sending him to school here...this is one place I would NEVER have wanted to miss!! It's known as the Venice of the North and this page should explain why. Luckily Brugge was virtually untouched by WWII so the mediaeval city remains virtually intact.

Wonder if this painter gets danger money???
